DeleteI am a Missourian and totally agree with you. These individuals that have taken over our state are the most radical individuals I have ever seen. I am a moderate, but to say so would alienate me from friends that can't accept anything by the Fox News party line. I feel like a political dissident that must remain in hiding.

Think about these FACTS, whining spoiled brat babies: [1] The Declaration of Independence, [2] the US Constitution, and [3] the Bill of Rights (adapted from the Virginia Declaration of Rights) ... ALL of these foundational documents that established America were written by Virginians.
And here's another FACT: Most of the REAL America was once part of Virginia, from Sea to Shining Sea -- even the Northwest Territories (now commonly known as Washington, Oregon, Idaho, etc.) ... all were once part of VIRGINIA.
Don't believe it? Go read about the "Lewis and Clark Expeditions", stupid, and you will find that I am right again.
Do you really want to secede, dirtbag? Why don't you go to Antarctica and start your own Nation. You can rule over your very own ice floe and the local penguins will teach you how to catch your own fish. And you can even have pink flamingos and chocolate-colored lawn jockeys in your front yard if you like, and the penguins next door won't give a damn.
But for all those other normal people who are not as brain-dead as you secession-jabbering morons seem to be, for all those who still do love America and want to stay here and continue to be part of the greatest Nation in history, we will be happy to rename the entire middle part of the North American continent (everything from Canada to Mexico) and call it all VIRGINIA!
And a little later, after all you dirtbag (teabag?) secessionist morons have left the Country (or perhaps drank the Kool-Aid and left the Planet), we can give all the States their old names back and be the United States of America again.
It still won't be perfect ... no place ever is ... but it will have plenty of room for diversity of lifestyles and viewpoints. That's what makes it America!
And it will still be America, that beacon of freedom for all the World. Whether you are living here or not.
And if you should decide to stay, most of us can even find it in our hearts to tolerate your differences and give you the freedom to express yourself. And most of us will even find it in our hearts to forgive you for your ignorance and short-sightedness.
And as a Virginian, I promise I will try to be polite and not laugh too hard at your occasional stupidity.

Very sad that it has all come to this. As a "former Liberal" I can look at this through the prism of, "Something is very wrong, and we need to talk about this. No one should feel so threatened by their own government that they feel this is what is needed." On the other hand, perhaps the time has fianlly come. The questions I would have asked as a Liberal, it might be that is is simply to late to ask.

Because I understood the social climate... and more importantly, the spiritual climate. If America didn't return to God, shaped up, and flew right, she was in for a nasty fall.

ReplyDeleteRight or wrong, no amount of signatures is going to get a state seceded. A law wouldnt do it. In fact, thousands of armed militias wouldnt do it either. No matter which state your in, there's resources there the federal govt isnt about to give up. Everything from natural resources to federal taxes. Plus the billions of dollars of corporate interests.
ReplyDeleteAnd the average citizen of any of these states is going to have a hard time coming to terms with getting paid with money thats not the US dollar. Or FDIC insured banks. Food & drugs that arent FDA approved. People would probably leave in huge flocks, often those who are smart/financially sound and leaving the poor and uneducated behind who are now the base of your new country.
All while the US is doing everything in its power to make sure your secession fails so others dont follow suit. The US is a nasty enemy that doesnt always play fair.

ReplyDeleteI agree singcanary. It's a double edged sword, but if we do nothing we're done. Right now we have no voice. We just keep taking everything they send our way. We are already taxed to death and more taxes are coming. How are we to afford taking care of our families as they rob us blind to pay themselves and their corrupt friends? Why not divide and become a self sustaining state with laws that are fair and just for all.
